Annual Film Festival: A Night for Gabriel at the Tom Morrison Theatre Fredericton High School.

On March 23rd 2013, the Centre for Arts and Technology will be holding their first  Annual Film Festival: A Night for Gabriel at the Tom Morrison Theatre Fredericton High  School. Our goal this year is to raise a substantial amount of money for Gabriel, as well as  showcase the Centre’s Film Program. We will be celebrating the hard work of the digital film  students, as well as helping support a fellow community member.

The night will be filled with Drama, Horror and Comedy. Over the past 2 years, the film students have worked very hard to create amazing films. We will be showcasing 8 of the shorts, as well as their very own miniseries.

This fundraiser is close to the Centre’s heart. One of our students has been struggling to provide for his son Gabriel who has been diagnosed with Apert Syndrome; a genetic disease, which causes malformation of the skull, midface, hands and feet. All proceeds will be going to the Gabriel Fund that will help his family to purchase four pairs of specialized medical gloves needed from his last surgery; the cost of these are $300 per single glove and are not covered by healthcare. The money raised will also go towards the cost of travel, as the family travels to the IWK frequently, as well as to specialists in the States.

If you would like to support the Film Festival and The Gabriel Fund please check out our Facebook page: First Annual Film Festival and come out on March 23rd 2013!
